This page lists everything MaxwellTrack IoT Cloud keeps in your browser. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the data we keep on our side.
Contents8 sections
1In short
MaxwellTrack IoT Cloud sets no cookies of its own. To keep you signed in and remember your settings, it uses your browser's local storage, and for a few sign-in steps, storage that lasts only as long as the tab.
Nothing here is used for analytics, advertising, or tracking you across other websites. Everything the Platform keeps in your browser is listed below.
2Needed to sign in and stay secure
Without these the Platform cannot sign you in or keep your account safe.
Sign-in
Keeps you signed in on this browser.
This browser · Until you sign out
Sign-in protection
Protects a sign-in in progress from being intercepted, and returns you to the page you were on afterwards.
This tab only · Until the tab is closed
Code timer
Counts down until you can ask for a new sign-in code.
This tab only · Until the tab is closed
New account status
Lets the page you wait on know when your new account is ready.
This tab only · Until the tab is closed
This notice
Remembers that you have read the note about what this site keeps.
This browser · Until you clear it in your browser
3Your settings
Choices you made, kept so you do not have to make them again. They stay after you sign out, so the next visit looks the way you left it.
Light or dark mode
The appearance you picked.
This browser · Until you clear it in your browser
Choose an account
The accounts offered when you sign in: name, email and picture only, never a password or key. Remove one from that list at any time.
This browser · Until you clear it in your browser
Security reminder
When you last dismissed a security reminder, so it is not shown again too soon.
This browser · Until you clear it in your browser
Layout choices
How you left lists, the device page, data sheets, the assistant panel, the code editor and maps, so they open the same way next time.
This browser · Until you clear it in your browser
4Working data, removed when you sign out
Kept so a reload does not lose your work. Signing out removes all of it, so the next person on a shared computer cannot read it.
Assistant conversation
Your open MaxwellTrack AI conversation, and any question handed to it from another page, so a reload does not lose them.
This browser · Until you sign out
Code editor history
Your recent MCode IDE assistant sessions for each device.
This browser · Until you sign out
5Services on specific pages
A few pages use a service from another company when you open them. Those services may set cookies on their own websites under their own policies:
- Maps, on vehicle tracking pages.
- Voice, on the Voice page when you start a conversation.
- The code editor's resources, in MCode IDE.
- Our payment partner's checkout, when you add a card.
- GitHub, when you choose to sign in with it.
The public pages of this site, including this one, load nothing from other companies: the home page map is a picture served by this site.
6How to remove it
Signing out removes your sign-in and all the working data above. To remove everything, clear the site data for maxwelltrack.com in your browser's settings: you will be signed out and your settings will return to their defaults.
To take one account off the "Choose an account" list, remove it from that list when you next sign in.
7If this changes
If we ever add analytics or anything else that is not needed to run the Platform, we will ask for your consent before it runs, and update this page first.
